The Fusion Gallery celebrates its 1st Anniversary on 15th December, sponsored by Female Focus.

After only one year The Fusion Gallery has firmly established itself as one of the most prestigious art galleries on the Costa Blanca. When I opened The Gallery last year, it was my goal to launch The Fusion Gallery and Altea on the International art circuit map. I wanted to exhibit work by International artists of the highest quality and excellence, many of whom would be exhibiting in Spain for the first time. I am delighted to say that this has proven to be a tremendous success. The Gallery receives visitors from all over the world, and with comments written in the visitor’s book such as: ‘If you are an art lover, this art gallery is highly recommended’ and tourist websites recommending a visit to the Gallery, I have fulfilled my objective.

Artists exhibiting at the Gallery include Darren Baker, who has recently been selected to paint the portrait of HRH Queen Elizabeth and whose portraits of Prince Charles and Tony Blair hang in St James Palace and 10 Downing Street respectively.

Maurice Blik whose bronze sculptures adorn museums, banks and hospitals and who has been selected to create a sculpture for the multi billion pound development at Kings’ Cross, England. Other artists exhibited at The Fusion Gallery have works in the Tate Gallery, Los Angeles Museum of Modern Art and attract high profile clients such as Ringo Star! The Gallery also supports and showcases works by local and emerging artists.

With regular exhibitions and also the formation of ‘Friends of The Fusion Gallery, the gallery has been instrumental in encouraging private and public collecting of art, Friends of TFG receive advance information about upcoming exhibitions and events. Friends also receive invitations to all exhibition openings and the opportunity to regularly meet artists, curators and other art lovers.

‘'Friends of The Fusion Gallery’

To celebrate its first anniversary The Fusion Gallery will be holding an exhibition of gallery artist’s work, from 15th December until 19th January. The inauguration, sponsored by Female Focus will be on Friday 15th December. The event will be invitation only.

New artists of The Fusion Gallery include, Kiko Rodriguez, a Spanish artist from Madrid. Kiko has found his calling late in life. He has said that he had always wanted to paint from an early age, but that life had put forward barriers and it is only now at the age of 50 that he is able to fulfil his dream.

He paints with energy, and passion on an enormous scale. All of his paintings are based around the human form, male and female, either in dance or contemplation mode.

Roberto Spadoni, an Italian Artist, living in Italy and Germany. Roberto worked as a doctor in Bologna until he became a cardiologist in 1997; he then moved to Hamburg and since 1998 has dedicated himself to his art. Characteristic for the work of Roberto Spadoni is the poetic animation of hard material, the pleasure of sculpting the ambition to combine a minimum of elements to obtain a three dimension piece. The ideal result is one single piece of iron twisted and turned to finally interpret a Madonna or a monk. You could also say arranging and bending are the two most important tools of the artist Roberto Spadoni.
