Latest News - GOING, going, gone……!!!!
Do you remember
the feeling when you have seen something in the shops,
you love it, but you think I will just look around first
and then come back; well think again, especially in
the Art Market. At the moment the Art Market is booming,
and demand for quality art is high. Collectors are complaining
that great material is scarce, and Galleries are placing
green dots on work to show what is available, rather
than the usual red ‘sold’ dots…..
A red dot does
not always mean disappointment. If a person comes back
to view a piece of art work for a second time and it
has been sold, there may be another piece of art of
a similar vein available. The Fusion Gallery exhibits
a small selection of work from each artist, but has
access to additional pieces. We represent contemporary
artists including painters, sculptors and photographers
as well as makers in glass, and mosaics. We also have
a comprehensive database of images and supporting information
on laptop computers which you can view and identify
the work you like.
We have been asked
for a ‘copy’ of a particular piece, or ‘something’
similar, either on a larger scale or a smaller size.
For paintings, ‘a copy’ is not possible
as they are unique, but artists do produce work on a
smaller scale, particularly Richard Harrison whose work
is fabulous but only a few people have the luxury of
large walls to place his stunning work. Face of the
waters and Fireland which measure 213cmx183cm for example.
Some of my artists produce limited edition prints of
their work.

Photography, Carol
Fulton produce images in different sizes and can also
produce on different papers.

Sculptors produce
limited editions of their work, so there is a possibility
that there may be another piece available. If not we
can offer you a different size, different patina, (the
surface colour on the sculpture), please just ask!
Guy Portelli’s ‘Flight’
and also ‘Tango’ have been particularly
popular and both pieces have sold. Tango was the last
in the edition which means that this piece can not be
reproduced in its current size and patina. A smaller
version of Tango is available, and also a larger size
can be commissioned. ‘Flight’ is the last
in the edition, but I do have a smaller and larger version
available.

Deidre Hubbard’s,
‘Torso’ a stunning solid bronze piece has
been sold. It is a limited edition of 12, so it is possible
for me to obtain another. Her sculpture Nesting Pair
was the last in the edition. A similar piece, Wingless
Bird, which is highly polished bronze with the outside
having a beautiful green patina, is available.
Ricky Jansen’s beautiful
graceful sculptures have all sold out apart from one
piece. I am expecting more of her work in the early
part of November.

As you can see, a red dot does
not have to mean disappointment; we can help, just ask!
