Mar '06 - Sourcing and Commissioning Art
At
The Fusion Gallery this month Pip and I, (Pip Bodkin,
MA History of Art, our new Gallery Manager) have received
numerous enquiries about sourcing art and commissioning
art, so here are a few pointers:
Sourcing Art:

Where can you find a piece
of art that will be perfect for your home?
We can offer you a unique combination of personal experience
and expertise, and an extensive range of art, not just
what you see on the Gallery walls and on the website,
but we also have access to a wider portfolio of art.
We can search art, by style, theme or artist. The first
stage in selecting the artwork for your home or office
would be for either Pip or myself, to visit you to assess
the location for the art, and to discuss with you the
most appropriate media. We would prepare a selection
of art to show you, either at the Gallery or at your
home for you then to make your choice. It really is
that simple.
Commissioning Art:

Guy Portelli
Tango
Bronze

Commissioning art can be one of
the most exciting and enjoyable parts of decorating
your home. It presents an opportunity for a special
relationship between gallery, artist and client. You
may want a special piece of artwork to celebrate a birthday,
anniversary or birth, a piece of sculpture as a focal
point in your garden, or a painting for a room in your
house in a particular style. We again will be able to
offer you a selection of artists who are available for
commission in the particular medium, style and price
range that you would like, and we will guide you through
the process and manage the commission from start to
finish.
If you have any questions
relating to art, Pip and I would be delighted to answer
them, just forward them to info@thefusiongallery.com
