Stephen Finer
Stephen
Finer is an acclaimed British painter who has been
showing for over twenty years, receiving phenomenal
recognition as one of the most distinguished artists
of his generation. Finer’s portraits include
David Bowie, Iman and Marlene Dietrich, to name but
a few. His work is highly collectable and his painting
'Kitaj with his Hand on his Head' is now in the Los
Angeles County Museum of Art
His paintings are in numerous collections
in Britain - the British Arts Council, Contemporary
Arts Society and the National Portrait Gallery and
are in private collections in Britain, Europe and
America.
In 2000/01- His portrait of David Bowie
and Iman was featured in PAINTING THE CENTURY 101
Portrait Masterpieces 1900-2000, at the National Portrait
Gallery London. His painting of David Bowie is in
their permanent collection.
