Anna Bocek

Anna Bocek was born 1973 and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Poland.

The inspiration for Anna’s painting comes from the theatre. There are two facets, drawn from the theatre; the first directly influences the topics of her paintings (related not so much to the theatrical space itself, as to the human being existing in it). The second facet makes her paintings come to life and gives them three-dimensional characteristic. Anna’s paintings do not try to reconstruct reality nor comment on it. Her paintings are studies of human nature, emotions, sensual experiences and moods. They are bright, vibrant, and full of energy and passion.
